Trolling has become a part of celebs’ lives and Daisy Shah is no different. Having faced a fair share of trolls on social media, Daisy tells us, "Earlier, I used to get affected by the chaos, but I have a different way of dealing with things now.” In a quick chat with her during her recent visit to the city, the Jai Ho actress spoke about working with Salman Khan in her debut, cherishing the little joys in life, and more. Excerpts:

‘I don’t let trolling affect me now’
Be it acting, social media, or in her personal life, Daisy prefers to keep things real. But it comes with a flipside.

“I am so real that people think I’m being rude. My honesty is often misunderstood as arrogance but that’s not the case at all. I just prefer to be honest in my opinions,” she says, adding, “If trolls are hating on me, they’re only giving me a speck of their life. Instead of letting those words affect me, I try to take it positively.”

‘Criticism of the industry comes from people who don’t understand it’
Recalling her days filming with Salman Khan for Jai Ho, her debut film, Daisy says, “It was a great experience working with him. None of the actors or technicians in the film made me feel like a newcomer. Meanwhile, I was pinching myself to believe if this was really happening!”

Speaking about how her experience has been in the industry since then, she adds, “The industry is great on the inside and people in it are encouraging. Criticism of the industry generally comes from the outside, from people who don’t know how the industry operates.”

I try to go on two wellness retreats every year where there’s no mobile network even. Spending time in nature, looking at the night sky, and having good food are things I love to do when not working. These are the simple pleasures of life for me
