Actors often get trolled by social media users for getting cosmetic changes. The most recent case is that of Rajkummar Rao, who faced flak for alleged chin surgery. But Jasmin Bhasin doesn’t believe in taking such negativity just because they are public figures. Recently, when a senior artiste got trolled online for ‘looking different’, the actor lashed out at the haters.

“I feel it’s very toxic. I accept that as actors and celebs, we put ourselves out in public, but why do people have to feed on the negativity?” she tells us. Bhasin feels that for people in showbiz, looking good becomes a responsibility, and they always have to groom themselves. But that’s not possible at all times.

“At times, we are bloated, we have hormonal issues, or we’re going through something in life. We are constantly under pressure, and if things don’t go well, then trolling us actors and rubbing it in our faces is a little insensitive,” she asserts.

The Bigg Boss fame actor highlights that trolling celebs affects them deeply too. “A person might be facing some crisis in life, and they would already be stressed. This kind of negative attention can give them anxiety, or worse, put them in depression,” says Bhasin, who is currently shooting for a Punjabi film.
