Actor Arti Singh is set to marry businessman Dipak Chauhan on April 25 in Mumbai. One of the celebrities who is expected to attend is Singh’s uncle, actor Govinda, whose tense relationship with Singh’s brother, actor Krushna Abhishek, has long been a topic of public discussion.

“He is my father-in-law; I will greet him by touching his feet,” says actor Kashmera Shah, who is married to Abhishek and regards herself as Govinda’s daughter-in-law. “He may have been upset with us, but Arti is not the target of his anger. The wedding might turn out to be a reunion of the family everyone has been waiting for so long. We will welcome him with open arms. Arti really wants him there,” Shah tells us.

Shah, who threw a bridal shower for Singh recently, informs us that the wedding will be lavish yet an intimate family affair. She adds, “We are all currently very emotional. Krushna feels like a father because he has treated Arti more like a daughter.”

In anticipation of Govinda’s presence, we made an effort to solicit a comment from the actor and his wife, Sunita Ahuja. While Govinda remained silent, Ahuja offered a succinct “no comments” until the time of going to press.
