DO AUR DO PYAAR had a poor weekend of 2 crore nett apprx and more than the numbers ,it was the trend which disappointed as you would expect the film to double up on Saturday with such a low Friday. Being a total urban film, the growth was not good enough and then Sunday was pretty much flat.

Still the film collected better than its competition LOVE SEX AUR DHOKHA 2 which collected around the 50 lakh nett range and this is sequel to a film which got some eyeballs. However, it appealed to a niche crowd. When a film is not able to break out post theatrical, it is tough for the second part to find an audience. This has been seen time and time again with likes of ROCK ON and KAHAANI and many others.

There is going to be huge struggle for exhibitors across the country in the election period as collections are likely only in states where there will be solid regional releases. Most of the country will see many cinemas closing shop for most of May.
