Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starts on an engrossing note. The entry scenes of the villain and heroes are long but they are massy and set the mood. From here on, the film goes downhill. The biggest issue is the plot. Though it has novel elements, it is not utilized well. The flashback in the second half is totally unconvincing and moreover, a few developments in the film don’t make sense at all. Director Ali Abbas Zafar tries his best but since his writing is poor, his execution doesn’t do much to salvage the film. Speaking of performances, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are great in action scenes but their performances are just okay. Manushi Chhillar looks nice and gives an able performance. Prithviraj Sukumaran is the best performer in the film. Alaya F is quite over the top and her dialogues are embarrassing. Sonakshi Sinha is lovely in a supporting role while Ronit Roy is dependable. All in all, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is a disappointing film.
