BT was the first to report that exes Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani would be reuniting for a film directed by Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti in October 2023. The makers had even shot a small portion of the movie with Tiger in September 2023. Recently, rumours began doing the rounds that the untitled film has been put on the back burner.

Dismissing the rumours, Jagan Shakti says, “The movie is definitely not shelved. We were supposed to go on floors in January. However, since Tiger had to dub and shoot for his upcoming movie, we could not begin. He also has some other commitments. We tried moving the dates, but it did not work out. Our film will now go on the floors this July.”

Reports also suggested that Jagan Shakti has moved on to another project. “I have only started writing for two of my other projects,” he clarifies.

Earlier while confirming the news with us, Jagan had earlier spoken about Disha' casting in the show. "Disha is the fittest and apt to do action. Sara was definitely a part of it, but unfortunately, we couldn't match the date," he had said.

Earlier while talking about her favourite star Tiger, Disha in an 2019 interview had said, "My favourite action star in Bollywood is Tiger Shroff. No one can do what he does. One day I would love to be in my own superhero film, like Wonder Woman."

In the same interview she added, "I’m actually very shy so I never thought I would act or be in front of the camera. I came to Bombay to be a model. And then my destiny led me to cinema, which I enjoy."
