Recently, singer Rahul Vaidya took to his Instagram Story to talk about how the “film industry is full of transactional relationships”. Denying that any particular incident “triggered” this, he tells us, “Bhadaas nikaalni thi, social media par nikaal li. I had an emotional outburst.”
Seemingly upset about ruined professional relationships, the 36-year-old explains, “Sahi ko sahi, aur galat ko galat bolna chahiye. People get woven in unnecessary hassles and complicate themselves. Most successful people I have seen are very unhappy.”
Talking about the music industry, the 36-year-old laments that people take each other for granted. “Whether it’s music directors, producers, singers or lyricists, everyone has very seasonal relationships. No one is there forever,” he elaborates.
Having recently released his single Moonlight, Vaidya says, “In the last 20 years, I have made my own kingdom. Main kisi composer ya music label ko chase nahin karta. Main apne gaane khud banaata hoon. With humility, I say that meri alag race hai, and main apne maze se daudta hoon.”
