Laapataa Ladies Box Office Collection Day 2: Progress Report On Kiran Rao's Film
Box Office India Trade Network

LAAPATAA LADIES fell on Monday which was pretty much expected despite the growth over the weekend which was mainly coming from certain properties and they were going to find it tougher on the weekdays. The collections of the film till date are around 4.25 crore nett and the first week is looking at a close of 5.50 crore nett apprx. The film needed Monday to be more than Friday and even that may not have been enough.

The film lose much of its screenings at PVR Inox due to the release of SHAITAAN and the fact that some of the holdovers have better occupancy. So, there will not be much coming post the first week. These sort of films look for that appreciation from that limited audience who are prepared to give it a go but this audience has to really like in order for some numbers come. For 12TH FAIL, they came but that is it really post pandemic so far. This one had no appreciation despite coming from a banner like Aamir Khan Productions.

The fact there are so many films like this available at home on television also makes it harder though when content is really liked by the audience audience they can pull through.

The collections of LAAPATAA LADIES are as follows.
Friday - 75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 1,65,00,000 apprx
Monday - 50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 4,25,00,000 apprx

DUNE: PART TWO also saw a drop on Monday and will be looking at a first week of 15 crore nett which is not bad going by recent numbers from Hollywood films. But the issue is the film has not sustained and hence, it will not collect much post the first week.
