ARTICLE 370 did good business in its first week collecting around 35 crore nett and the collections help up very well over the weekdays with the Mon - Thu period hardly showing a drop. The film has scored well at the metros with smaller circuits being steady on the lower side.
The second week is pretty much open with the competition coming from LAAPATAA LADIES and DUNE: PART TWO but ARTICLE 370 should still be the leading film over the weekend. DUNE: PART TWO opened on Thursday with paid previews with limited collections but will do much better on Friday.
LAAPATAA LADIES has a very dull opening which is on the expected lines as the trailer is difficult to watch. The only plus is the film is from Aamir Khan Productions; so, there maybe some content for that niche audience in the longer run
The collections of ARTICLE 370 till date are as follows.
Friday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 3,35,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,35,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,15,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 34,85,00,000 apprx
