FIGHTER collected 139.75 crore nett in its first week which is low number for the film although it remained steady on weekdays post the big Monday drop. But the weekday collections are at low levels. The killer for the film was the first day collection in mass pockets and although the national holiday meant some recovery, it was not really good enough as many circuits still remained lower than they should be.

This mean that the best the film could have hoped for was AVERAGE status but then there was the big Monday drop which hit hard. There has been a little recovery from this drop as collections have not capitulated like some other big films. That will not change the overall picture unless the film shows a good jump on second Friday.

The film has done a little better in Mysore, NCR and a couple of other big cities but the business in the likes of MP, Rajasthan and Gujarat is pretty similar to the likes of TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR and GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI.

The last 3 months of last year saw poor results and this continues with the first big release of 2024. This looks set to continue for sometime unless something surprises as there is nothing holding appeal for the circuits which is a must for big numbers.

FIGHTER has done better in overseas with $8.5 million in eight days driven by a solid $5 million plus total in US/Canada. The $8.5 million is better than it looks as there is nothing from the Gulf region and that can be given around $1.5 million at the very least total which would mean a $10 million over eight days at a minimum.

The worldwide number is 238 crore which despite a good overseas performance is well short of a WAR which was 296 crore (7 day total). Here a comparable total would be 229 crore which is the seven day worldwide number for FIGHTER. It is better than BANG BANG and KRRISH 3 which had done 200 and 197 crore respectively.

The film should go and do a 300 crore worldwide number but not much more than that and it would be lower than a film like ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI which was also driven by a strong overseas but a few levels above FIGHTER as it was a BLOCKBUSTER overseas.
