There has been a lot of buzz around Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s Goa wedding festivities that will take place on February 20 and 21. While the venue and dates are now known, details about their wedding outfits have been under wraps. Rakul and Jackky were spotted at designer Tarun Tahiliani’s studio recently, leading to speculations that he has been roped in to design their outfits.

However, we have learnt that five designers are working on the couple’s outfits, which include their mehendi and sangeet ensembles as well as their wedding attires.

As per our source, Tarun Tahiliani, Shantnu Nikhil, Falguni Shane Peacock, Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta have been working on the couple’s outfits. A source says, “They will don a blend of Indian and international designers. There’s talk about an ensemble crafted by an international designer.”

The source also disclosed that Rakul intends to give her mehendi outfit a contemporary twist while honouring her Punjabi heritage. “Particularly, through the revival of Phulkari embroidery, aiming to preserve tradition while embracing modernity,” adds the source.

In an earlier chat with Bombay Times, a source had spilled the beans on the wedding saying, “It’s a beach wedding. Rakul and Jackky are both avid lovers of beach destinations, hence, the beach setting seemed perfect for their big day. There are no immediate honeymoon plans, as the couple will get back to work right after the wedding. Rakul will be working almost three days before the wedding ceremonies begin and plans to resume work within a week.”
