Singer and television show host Aditya Narayan recently left social media users in shock after a video of him throwing a fan’s phone away during a show went viral.

The incident took place at a college in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Amid the controversy, Narayan’s event manager has claimed that the man involved was not a student there.

“That boy was not even a college student, he must be someone from outside. He was very irritating and banged his phone on Aditya’s feet multiple times. After that only did he (the singer) lose his cool. He must have taken almost 200 selfies with this student. The whole concert went smooth apart from this. After this incident, the show went on for almost two hours,” the event manager told Zoom on the condition of anonymity.

He also noted how several renowned singers have lately stepped away from performing at college events due to such incidents. “I have been connected with the college for years and they haven’t had a good concert like this ,” he asserted.
