MERRY CHRISTMAS has shown good growth of around 50% as it collects around 3 crore nett on its second day in Hindi to take its two day total to 5 crore nett. The film had to grow on Saturday as there was a high ratio of business of the urban centres where Saturday is the best day.

A lot depends on what happens to the film on Sunday as it attempts to get some of the wider audience and then more importantly where it lands on Monday as collections have to be similar to or close to the Friday number if it is to have a run.

The two day collections of MERRY CHRISTMAS are as follows.

Friday - 2,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 3,00,00,000 apprx

HANUMAN (Hindi) is excellent and looks on course to be a HIT as collections jumped around 80-90% and the film collects 3.75 crore nett on Saturday for a two day total of 5.75 crore nett. The film has shown huge 75%  growth collections in mass pockets whereas the multiplex business doubled up. When you have such growth in mass circuits on a Saturday, it is almost certain the film is going to do very well.

The film is going to do very well and should emerge a HIT or even more though that time will tell. The Monday hold is certain as when the mass circuits grow like this on Saturday, it means at least this side of the business will be more on Monday than Friday and possibly by a margin. Multiplexes have a price drop but even there, the film is sure to hold and the holiday period in various states will help further.
