DUNKI saw a big drop in collections as it faced new releases for the first time and it collected 50 lakhs nett on its fourth Friday. This will mean a huge drop in the fourth week but eventually it will get over the 200 crore nett mark though it may be in the fifth week.

DUNKI is now comfortably ahead of SALAAR in Hindi and even if we take the all India and all formats collections of the latter, then they are pretty much similar to DUNKI. The film dod around 19 crore nett in Mysore and 15 crore nett in West Bengal and these are the best circuits even though these numbers today are very low for a Shah Rukh Khan starrer in these two places.

The film will fail to hit 20 crore nett in East Punjab as collections stand at 18 crore nett after three weeks and this was the circuit where the subject was most relatable. But subject being relatable does not mean the public will turn up in cinemas. This circuit probably had to hit 50 crore nett for the film to have any chance of a 400 crore nett lifetime total.
