SALAAR (Hindi) did well on Monday which was a holiday for Christmas though there was a drop from Sunday and with the holiday, the collections should have shown a lesser drop. Still, the film managed 15 crore nett and the collections were in the same range as day one.

The total collections of the film have reached 67 crore nett which is a good number for the first five days but it is about where the film can go from here. The film has seen a drop in South outside Bangalore where Christmas is huge. This puts more importance on the Hindi version in the long run as it has potential to hold up the best. In fact, the collections of the Hindi version were not much less compared to the collections in Nizam/Andhra on Monday.

The film continues to be ahead of DUNKI in the mass circuits but the clash has hurt the film as it had to compete with a DUNKI. Even though though it may not be the strongest Shah Rukh Khan film, you need to be a blockbuster film which this film is not. A solo release date or a clash with a smaller Hindi film would have benefited SALAAR.
