New Delhi: Yet another controversy involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar, the key accused in a Rs 200-crore extortion case, seems to have erupted after a series of WhatsApp messages allegedly sent by him to actor Jacqueline Fernandez from the jail have surfaced.

A complaint has been submitted with Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing and the Tihar Jail is also inquiring into the allegations of his unauthorized phone usage in the prison.

In the reported chats from June this year, Chandrasekhar had asked Fernandez to wear a black dress during court appearances. There are also a few voice messages in which the accused claimed to love her immensely.

Sources said that when she ignored the messages, he had even started messaging her in the WebEx chatroom during the court hearings. He also seemed angry that she didn’t follow the dress advice.

Last week, Chandrasekhar had accused Fernandez of using his money to enhance her social media image and compete with a contemporary. He had even threatened to release “unseen chats” and other evidence against her.

In his last week’s letter released through his advocate, Chandrasekhar said, “Even the smallest fact of payments worth a few million USD paid for social platform enhancement to compete and race against a very prominent individual colleague of this person also will be brought in open with all the relevant payment invoice.”
