ANIMAL continued its dream run on the last day of the week as it remained strong and above 20 crore nett with collections of 22.50 crore nett. The film has seen similar drops over the weekdays of around 15% which is fantastic considering the high level of the collections of the film.

This film has collected 289 crore nett in its first week and its a normal Fri - Thu week without any holidays. Yet, it is the highest collections ever without any holiday support in the first week. The film has an 'A' certification and it has probably not hindered the film too much as the female audience is also coming out in numbers.

The collections are fantastic in mass centres with places like CP Berar, CI and Gujarat being better than the likes of JAWAN and PATHAAN. The collections in Mumbai circuit will be around the 80 crore nett mark and Delhi UP will be about 60 crore nett. East Punjab is extraordinary beating except GADAR 2 but that film had a holiday midweek and had a phenomenal collection on that day.

The numbers could have been better in West Bengal and Assam but the former has still managed 11 crore nett plus which is excellent but comparatively to other circuits, it is a bit less. The key now is the second Friday to keep it in line for that 500 crore nett. As ticket rates go back up, it has a shot a historic second Friday which is highest of all time.

The dubbed version had a drop on the last day of the week as the bulk of the collections are coming from Telugu version in Nizam/Andhra and there was a local release there which probably hit the collections. The business in its dubbed versions was 37 crore nett for the week and all formats total is 326 crore nett.

ANIMAL collected a miracle 61 crore nett in Nizam/Andhra with the Telugu version having record collections of 33 crore nett. The Hindi version itself was outstanding with almost 28 crore nett and this is also the highest first week in Nizam/Andhra for a Hindi film beating JAWAN and PATHAAN which were around the 25 crore nett mark.

The film is already the highest ever in Telugu in the circuit comfortably beating the numbers of JAWAN and there is more to come. It will also be the record holder in Hindi as it is sure to cross the 40 crore nett mark. It remains the see if the film can reach the 100 crore nett mark but a lot will depend on how the Telugu version collects post the first week. The Hindi version is likely to get to 50 crore nett or at least very close.

ANIMAL had the third highest first week of all time and became the eleventh film to cross 200 crore nett in one week. It was the fifth film to cross 250 crore nett and JAWAN and PATHAAN remain the only two films to cross the 300 crore nett mark in seven days.

The comparison for ANIMAL will be GADAR 2 and it will have to follow that films route to 500 crore nett. ANIMAL is around 7 crore nett ahead  and has to at least keep this lead or go further ahead at the end of week two. GADAR 2 added 37 crore nett after its third week and that will be the crunch for ANIMAL as with the huge competition on Christmas, it is unlikely to do that unless the Christmas films don't work at all.

The film is sure to beat the numbers of JAWAN and PATHAAN post the first week but those films had extended first weekends and therefore, had healthy leads over the other big films in the first week. The 250 crore nett mark in week one now has to be there for a big film which opens well and these numbers will only go higher with the correct films as audiences are neglecting the smaller films and waiting for the bigger ones at this point of time.

ANIMAL created history on the second Friday as it collected an insane 22 crore nett which is the highest second Friday of all time and the first time the second Friday has gone over 22 crore nett. The film is a sensation and another ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER for the film industry. 2023 has seen a line of them though the pandemic has probably changed a few things and that's why there have been four hits of the magnitude in one year.

The holds are superb across the board and with all centres across the country barring TNK just doing phenomenal numbers. The second weekend is easily going to be the highest ever and the second week may well emerge the highest ever.

There are not many words to describe this second Friday business and the film will is sure to hit 500 crore nett. If there were was a clear run for 4-5 weeks, this film would cross the business of JAWAN in Hindi.

ANIMAL smashed all records on its second Friday as it collected 22 crore nett and comfortably beat the likes of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and GADAR 2 both of which were just a little short of 20 crore nett.

The length coupled with the huge acceptance of the film is coming into play. The length of the film and a clash meant it could not get the same peak time screening as some of the other big films. The length of the film was looked as a negative but now that the film has found huge acceptance, it will be boon post the first week.

The records will continue to fall in week two and week three as the film puts up record numbers. The film has potential of a 100 crore nett second weekend which has never happened before and also a 150 crore nett week two which also has never happened. Just before the pandemic, a 100 crore nett second week was a huge deal and now we are talking about 100 crore second weekends.

ANIMAL continues to create history on its second Saturday as it becomes the film to collect over 30 crore nett on the second Saturday. It had already become the first film to cross 20 crore nett on the second Friday and now it remains to be seen if it goes to 40 crore nett plus on the second Sunday.

The previous best second Saturday was GADAR 2 at a little under 30 crore nett. Going by the trend of that film, it should cross 40 crore nett as its trending around 5% better on the second weekend. GADAR 2, however, had the single screen factor on Sunday where its levels were higher compared to ANIMAL and they really came to the fore on Sunday.

The film remains on course for the 500 crore nett mark and should be there or very close to that mark by the time the Christmas releases come. The total collections so far in Hindi are 342.50 crore nett and within two weeks it will probably have only the four 500 crore nett films ahead of it.
