FUKREY 3 managed to record a decent first day of around 8.50 crore nett as it picked up in the evening as the film saw pretty average collections in the morning. The film has done well to get to the 8 crore nett plus mark from where it started but as it was a holiday in many states, it could should have collected higher.
The best circuit by distant mile was Delhi/UP as all the FUKREY films have hit strong numbers in NCR which was the case again. There was a holiday in UP for Eid which helped collections in the state. East Punjab also had good numbers and both Delhi/UP and East Punjab recorded numbers similar to DREAM GIRL 2.
Mumbai circuit was low and that could be down to Ganpati Visarjan as Maharashtra was dull including Mumbai city and Pune. Gujarat, despite a holiday, was not good either. The killer in the circuit were collections in Mumbai and Pune and they may do better today or at least not drop.
Overall its a decent start for the film and now its about where the film goes on Saturday as its an extended weekend and collections on Saturday, Sunday and Monday have to be good. The opening day was a little better than FUKREY RETURNS and that film went on to do 77 crore nett.
THE VACCINE WAR is a dull affair as it collected only 75 lakhs nett apprx. The film is about the Covid time which is unlikely to relate in cinema terms. The film is from the makers of THE KASHMIR FILES but it hardly ever matters about who the maker is unless you are a Raj Kapoor or Subhash Ghai. Its about the content and if that is not there, then you need star value or music to at lest get some audience initially.
