(Crisp) Movie Review: THE NUN II by FENIL SETA

The Nun II takes the story forward nicely after the events of the first half. The makers introduce some unexpected elements that add to the madness and will also play an important part in the future parts of the universe. Some scenes are handled like a pro and unconventionally by Michael Chaves, especially the intermission point and climax. However, a few aspects go bouncer and some developments are bewildering and even unnecessary. The length is also an issue (111 minutes). Moreover, the location is not mentioned and it leads to confusion too. Taissa Farmiga (Sister Irene), however, does a good job yet again. Jonas Bloquet (Maurice) impresses while Storm Reid (Sister Debra) is dependable. Katelyn Rose Downey (Sophie), Anna Popplewell (Kate) and others do well. Lastly, Bonnie Aarons is quite scary as Valak. All in all, The Nun II is a decent attempt and a must-watch for the fans of the series.
