Entrepreneur Pradhyuman Maloo, who gained fame for his appearance on the reality show Indian Matchmaking, is now facing serious allegations of domestic violence, as we have exclusively learnt. The Mumbai Police have registered an FIR (a copy of which is with HT City) against Maloo and his family, following accusations made by his estranged wife, actor-model Ashima Chauhaan.

She alleges that she endured both physical and emotional abuse from her husband and his family. Moreover, even her family reportedly faced blackmail and harassment. Advocate Anmol Bartaria, representing Chauhaan, says, “The matter is in the investigative stage and should be carried out in full swing.” He further informed that Chauhaan is not in the right mental state to comment because of trauma, and she is currently with her family in Bengaluru.

In light of these accusations, Maloo’s response has been one of apparent surprise. “I don’t know about it. To the best of my knowledge, we are in settlement talks with lawyers to resolve our marital issues amicably,” he tells us.

Rushali Rai, who was one of the potential matches for Maloo on the show, expressed disbelief. “He doesn’t seem like that person. I heard that they were breaking up but didn’t know about domestic violence,” she remarks.

Maloo, who made headlines for rejecting 150 marriage proposals and setting high expectations for his future partner, found love off-screen with Chauhaan and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Udaipur in 2022.
