Ghoomer Review: Saiyami Kher Is On A Firm Wicket, Pulling Off Physically Demanding Role
Box Office India Trade Network

The new release this week GHOOMER was flat on day two with collections around the 1 crore nett mark. The first day had collected 80 lakhs nett. The film had nothing going for it with no face value and content which does not offer much for the cinema going audience. There was no music either in the film to help its cause.

These films needed the support of media to get that Saturday growth before the pandemic as films which got that tended to grow more on Saturday. But then eventually by Monday it did not matter and its down to the audience. Today, as there are thousands of reviews out there, it hardly matters as the public hardly cares. Now whether its manufactured reviews from the makers or even genuine trying to push the film, its all the same thing.

This is in a way bad for the smaller films as they try to find an audience through support but that eco system has been killed now. The industry can be blamed for paid reviews while the influx of so many reviews also means they hold little value.

Coming back to GHOOMER, the film has been discarded but it had chance of respectable numbers if it could have doubled up from Friday. But 25% growth is a bit of a joke for a so called content cinema.

The first two day numbers of GHOOMER are as follows.
Friday - 80,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,80,00,000 apprx
