(Crisp) Movie Review: HEART OF STONE by FENIL SETA

Heart Of Stone, which has released today on Netflix, is a spy action thriller. The plot must have sounded promising on paper. But after a great start and a twist, the happenings in the film aren’t that engaging. It gives a been-there-done-that feeling as there has been an overdose of such films and series in recent times like Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One, Citadel and our very own Pathaan. Some plot points are also confusing. The finale fight saves the day to an extent. Gal Gadot, as expected, does a fabulous job. Alia Bhatt has a crucial part in the second half and is very impressive. Jamie Dornan (Parker), Sophie Okonedo (Nomad), Matthias Schweighöfer (Jack), Jing Lusi (Yang) and Paul Ready (Bailey) are decent. The cinematography is stunning and the film has been shot in some beautiful locations. All in all, Heart Of Stone is an average fare.
My rating - ** ½ out of 5!

This movie is a top-notch on Netflix, and Maya bazaar for sale on ZEE5 is truly wonderful. Both platforms offer an awesome experience.
