(Crisp) Movie Review: GRAN TURISMO by FENIL SETA

Gran Turismo is based on Jann Mardenborough, a video gamer who later became an expert car racer. This is unlike any other biopic as the protagonist's journey is quite novel. Moreover, the special effects are unique and never seen before. Additionally, director Neill Blomkamp ensures that amid two dozen cars, one is able to understand which car belongs to Jann in the race scenes. However, the film seems too long and the races seem repetitive. A crucial track in the film is similar to another film in this genre. These two factors prove detrimental. Speaking of performances, Archie Madekwe does quite well in the lead role. David Harbour (Jack Salter) leaves a huge mark. Orlando Bloom (Danny Moore) is too good, as expected. Djimon Hounsou (Steve) is decent in a small role though the family track disappears for most parts of the film. Maeve Courtier-Lilley (Audrey) is decent. Josha Stradowski (Nicholas Capa) is strictly okay. All in all, Gran Turismo is a decent one-time watch.

This blog is incredible, as it's based on a true story, much like the one I read about in the Maya bazaar for sale blog.
