Aamir Khan is all set to return to the acting world. After a self-imposed sabbatical following his last big-screen outing Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), which didn’t fare well at the box office, the actor had announced his decision to take a short break. Now, Khan has finalised his next project, which will be backed by his production house.

As per trade expert Taran Adarsh, Khan’s yet-untitled next is likely to be a Christmas release next year. It is believed that the project is in its pre-production stage and is likely to go on floors by January near year.

Sharing the news on X, Adarsh wrote, “Aamir Khan locks Christmas for the next film… It will star Aamir in the lead role, to release on 20 Dec 2024. Pre-production of the film is ongoing and the film goes on floors on January 20, 2024 (sic).”

While Adarsh didn’t share any details about the project, there are rumours that Khan might be reuniting with filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi for an entertainer, 30 years after they worked together on the 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna.
