Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has purchased a luxury apartment for Rs. 17.50 crores in the plush Juhu locality of Mumbai. The house with nearly 1,594 sq ft carpet area is on the second floor of the residential tower Siddhi Vinayak Building in Presidency Society where the actor’s family already owns an apartment. The deal values the apartment at nearly Rs. 1.10 lakh per sq ft, making it one of the costliest deals in the locality known for the properties of Bollywood actors, directors, producers and industrialists.
Aaryan has paid stamp duty of Rs. 1.05 crore for the registration of the deal that took place on June 30. He will also get exclusive access to two car parking slots in the tower. The transaction was executed by the actor’s mother Mala Tiwari on his behalf, showed the documents accessed through Indextap.com.
Earlier, actor Rajkummar Rao had bought a luxury triplex apartment in Juhu for nearly Rs. 44 crores from late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter and actress Janhvi Kapoor. This transaction between Rao and Kapoor had valued that apartment spread over 3,456 sq ft at nearly Rs. 1.27 lakh per sq ft, pushing it in the tally of the country’s most expensive residential deals ever.
In January, Aaryan had leased a luxury apartment on Juhu Tara Road for three years from actor Shahid Kapoor for a total rental payout of over Rs. 2.89 crores across the total term. ET’s messages to Aaryan and his team remained unanswered until the time of going to press.
Recently, actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif shifted to their residence to Juhu, while cricketer Virat Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma also moved in here some time ago.
