Soon to make her OTT series debut, Nargis Fakhri is excited that the move to the web space is allowing artistes to push their boundaries. The actor says, “I wanted to be a part of the OTT space knowing it has exploded with so much content. It pushes an actor’s limits. There are a variety of characters and I think that’s the spice of acting.” She will be seen alongside actors Dheeraj Dhoopar and Divya Agarwal in the series Tatlubaaz.

Ask if her excitement for OTT stems from the fact that she wasn’t able to realise her potential on her the big screen and Fakri says she doesn’t think “cinema held me back”. “I think I fit certain characters better and so, I got cast for them over and over. They call it pigeonholing. But I don’t think it was on purpose,” says the 43-year-old, who has already made her OTT film debut with Torbaaz (2020) alongside actor Sanjay Dutt.

Open to experimentation, the Amavas (2019) actor, however, draws the line at nudity. “I would never be naked for a project,” she says, adding, “But I wouldn’t mind playing any kind of character, including that of a homosexual. It does not bother me because it’s part of my job.”
