Ronit Bose Roy took to Instagram recently to share a mirror selfie flaunting his chiselled physique. At 57, the actor says his younger co-stars “inspire” him to work out and get in shape. He adds, “I am not competing with people my age, but those aged between 25 and 30. I want to be better than them.”

Roy, who was last seen in Shehzada and Gumraah, says, “I am in the hungriest phase of my life. I cannot ever retire, that word doesn’t come into my mind. It’s fine to chill in Goa [and be laid-back] for two-three days, but I cannot sit at home for long. I need to work all the time. I am thinking of the next 25 years. I obviously can’t work if I am not fit.”

Ask if he hopes to inspire people by sharing his fitness journey online and the actor says, “I don’t feel I’m competent enough to give advice. If somebody gets inspired by what I do, that’s good.”
