IB 71 has managed reasonable business in terms of the box office scenario. The film has not done much business but the 7.50 crore nett is more than most would have expected as many similar types of films have done lower. Even films which would have said to have better casts have done less.
The growth was good on Saturday and Sunday and these type of results do give a better feel to the box office. This may be down to fact that expectations are so low. Yet, its gives hope that some collections can come even if film does not have much going for it. Most of Vidyut Jammwal's films have done around 20 crore nett while COMMANDO 3 is at 32 crore nett. This could also do 20 crore nett and post pandemic, this has more worth now.
The three day numbers of IB 71 are as follows.
Friday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 7,50,00,000
CHATRAPATHI fared poorly collecting around 1.10-1.20 crore nett over the weekend as the film looked like a dubbed south film though it is an original Hindi film. The film has collected much more than the south dubbed films of last week like VIRUPAKSHA and RAMABANAM but that is not saying much as both were under 10 lakhs nett for the week.
