One of the most anticipated Gujarati films of 2023, Bushirt T-Shirt, was released on May 5. Starring superstar Siddharth Randeria in the lead, the family entertainer has been performing quite well at the box office. What’s impressive is the drop in the second week is very negligible which shows that the film is sure to have a long run.
As per our information, Bushirt T-Shirt’s first-day collections were around Rs. 23.10 lakhs. The collections jumped to around Rs. 44 lakhs on Saturday followed by around Rs. 60.50 lakhs on Sunday. Thus, its first weekend collections stood at around Rs. 1.27 crores. On the weekdays, it held steady and collected around Rs. 84 lakhs between Monday and Thursday. The first week-collections were around Rs. 2.11 crores.
On its second Friday, the collections showed a slight rise as compared to Thursday, which is always a good sign. While Bushirt T-Shirt collected around Rs. 22 lakhs on Friday, it earned around Rs. 38.50 lakhs on Saturday while on Sunday, it accumulated Rs. 55 lakhs. Hence, in its second weekend, it collected Rs. 1.15 crores. The ten-day collections of Bushirt T-Shirt are Rs. 3.27 crores.
On the weekdays, Bushirt T-Shirt, as expected, continues to hold well. In Bahar Cinema, Vile Parle, Mumbai, the film is running with all three shows a day. In many centres, dominated by Gujarati audiences, the night and evening shows are already almost sold out. Even in Gujarat, it is super strong.
The collections of Rs. 3.27 crores might seem lesser to many readers. Also, Kehvatlal Parivar (2022), Siddharth Randeria’s last film with the same producers (Coconut Motion Pictures), had collected around Rs. 5 crores in its first week. However, Bushirt T-Shirt faced tough competition from The Kerala Story, which was also released on May 5. The Adah Sharma-starrer is performing exceptionally at the box office and is all set to cross the Rs. 200 crores mark. Hence, given the situation, Bushirt T-Shirt is doing quite well. Unlike Hindi films, it doesn’t have the pressure of scoring big time during the first weekend. Gujarati films have a long run at the box office and looking at its trend, Bushirt T-Shirt is sure to slowly and steadily do wonders at the box office.
