Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan begins on an entertaining note. The entry of Salman Khan, as expected, is whistle-worthy. The first half is not funny but has some lovely light-hearted moments and even catchy songs. The intermission point is superb and the best part of the film. But the makers lose the plot in the second half. So much could have been done at this point. A bunch of quirky characters from Delhi heading to South India is a goldmine for any writer. This is when the film’s humour quotient should have hit the roof. Sadly, nothing of that sort happens. Except for one emotional scene, not a single scene moves viewers. The climax is okay and we have seen better endings in Salman Khan’s films in the past. Speaking of performances, Salman Khan looks dashing and is entertaining. Pooja Hegde is stunning and her performance is first-rate. Venkatesh Daggubati is superb and puts up a sincere act. Jagapathi Bapu is over the top while Vijender Singh hams. Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal and Siddharth Nigam are decent. Shehnaaz Gill is memorable while Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar are forgettable. Bhumika Chawla, Aasif Sheikh and Tej Sapru are wasted. Rohini Hattangadi leaves a mark. The late Satish Kaushik is fair. Bhagyashree is damn good in a cameo. Songs are well-tuned and well-placed, except for ‘Billi Billi’ and ‘Let’s Dance Chotu Motu’. ‘Naiyo Laga’ is the best of the lot. All in all, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is an average fare.
