Pathaan OTT Version Has An Extra Shah Rukh Khan Scene And Fans Can't Even...

Box Office India Trade Network

PATHAAN has smashed all records in Delhi/UP as the circuit emerges one of the best performers for the film as both the NCR side and UP state side put up huge numbers. The film has a 112 crore nett total in the circuit as it reaches the end of its run which is almost 15% higher than BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION.

The film recorded unbelievable collections in the circuit initially and the UP side was a reminder of the good old days when there was hordes of people outside single screens. In just ten days it had beaten all original Hindi films in the circuit barring DANGAL.

The weekly collections of PATHAAN in Delhi/UP are as follows.
Week 1 - 74,60,00,000 (9 Days)

Week 4 - 3,05,00,000
Week 5 - 1,89,00,000

PATHAAN has gone above the two South films (BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2) and that is good to see. Delhi/UP is a circuit which is not very receptive to South content but action works big time in the circuit and both BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2 had that and above all came with branding.

Historically, it has been poor for South content and the actors from South also and this is still generally the case for most films but where it changes now is huge scale and branding. The branding could even come through satellite or digital and that is why a South big film beating PATHAAN in Delhi/UP and going top is still a possibility. This was unthinkable ten years but with South being able to mount huge films and some of their makers able to make films without the typical South feel, it is different now.

The top ten films in Delhi/UP are as follows.
1. Pathaan - 1,12,07,00,000 (till date)

PATHAAN is the first film in history to cross the 30 crore nett mark in West Bengal with collections that are 40% ahead of KGF - CHAPTER 2 and 25% ahead of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The best outright Hindi performer is WAR which has just 23 crore nett compared to the 35 crore nett of PATHAAN.

Shah Rukh Khan is easily the biggest star in West Bengal and maybe even possibly the biggest star ever. Mithun Chakraborty was the biggest star before but at that time it was a different circuit with a huge contribution outside Kolkata and Mithun Chakraborty was the king there. Today its mainly about Kolkata and Kolkata has never seen a bigger star than Shah Rukh Khan.

These sort of issues like West Bengal becoming just about Kolkata were signals of an industry not being able to reach the wider audience but at the time it did not really matter as numbers came from the multiplexes and main centres. But post pandemi,c when numbers have reduced in the bigger centres then this audience is needed.

The weekly collections of PATHAAN in Delhi/UP are as follows.
Week 1 - 24,16,00,000 (9 Days)
Week 2 - 5,83,00,000
Week 3 - 2,62,00,000
Week 4 - 87,00,000
Week 5 - 59,00,000
Week 6 - 53,00,000
Week 7 - 20,00,000
Week 8 - 9,00,000
Week 9 - 2,00,000 apprx (5 days)
TOTAL - 34,92,00,000 apprx

PATHAAN is the only film above 30 crore nett in West Bengal while only three other films have gone over 20 crore nett which shows how big PATHAAN is in the circuit.
