Box Office India Trade Network

PATHAAN's second weekend collections of 63 crore nett was comfortably higher than KGF - CHAPTER 2 though the numbers were less than THE KASHMIR FILES making it the second highest weekend post the pandemic. The film saw huge growth on Saturday and Sunday as on both days, the film went comfortably over 20 crore nett.

The total of the film stands at over 410 crore after its second weekend which makes it the highest total for an outright HINDI film. The lifetime number of KGF - CHAPTER 2 will be taken out in the next 2-3 days and then BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION will remain in front and whether it can reach there or not will depend on the week three and four.

The film had a mammoth nine day first week but has still sustaining very well which tells about the appreciation of the film. There are some circuits which maybe could have done a little better but to counteract that there are some which have well beyond the expectations. The second weekend out performance probably came in Mysore.

The collections of PATHAAN (Hindi) till date are as follows.
Week One - 3,47,75,00,000 apprx (9 days)
Friday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 22,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 27,50,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 62,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 4,10,50,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------
PATHAAN (Hindi) has crossed the 800 crore mark worldwide and become the ALL TIME highest grossing film in HINDI worldwide as it beat the record of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The film had beaten DANGAL on Friday and now in just twelve days of release, it has also beaten BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION.

The worldwide number stands at a huge 811 crore after the second weekend. These numbers are for the Hindi film only and does not include the other formats in other languages. There are films which travel be it across India or outside and get released in different formats to cater that territory or country so numbers can get higher this way. These will be very few films but true success is always what the original film does.

BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION is actually not an original Hindi film but it was the highest grosser in Hindi worldwide and now PATHAAN has taken over and and will take the business of a Hindi language film to a higher level.

The collections of PATHAAN worldwide are as follows.
India - 494 crore (411.50 nett)
Overseas - 317 crore ($38.75 million)
TOTAL - 811 crore

The worldwide numbers in all formats will be around the 830 crore mark and this is well off record levels but that is because PATHAAN is mainly for the core Hindi film markets and this genre made for Hindi audiences will not travel like a DANGAL.
----------------------------------------
PATHAAN which has been setting records since its release twelve days back set its biggest record so far by becoming the highest grossing film in HINDI worldwide as it beat the collections of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The 500 crore mark worldwide is itself a BLOCKBUSTER benchmark but PATHAAN covered that in a matter of 5 days.

It has to be mentioned these collections are for the original HINDI film only and other formats of PATHAAN and other films are not included. There will be some who believe in adding all collections but those comparisons are not like for like and numbers from Far East and Russia simply distort the history of Hindi cinema where a BAROOD (1976) becomes as big as SHOLAY (1975) and SECRET SUPERSTAR (2017) becomes bigger than TIGER ZINDA HAI (2017).

The way we see it PATHAAN has set the new benchmark worldwide and it will be the film that others have to chase. This benchmark will be over 900 crore and maybe even reach 1000 crore.

The top worldwide grossers in HINDI are as follows. The comparisons are like to like meaning oranges being compared to oranges and not olives.
1. Pathaan - 811 crore apprx (12 Days)
2. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion - 802 crore
3. Dangal - 702 crore
4. PK - 616 crore
5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 604 crore
6. KGF 2 - 587 crore
7 Sanju - 578 crore
8. Sultan - 577 crore
9. Tiger Zinda Hai - 565 crore
10. Padmaavat - 546 crore
