Randeep Hooda fainted while riding a horse at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse and had a nasty fall recently. He sustained a severe knee injury. The actor was rushed to a hospital and was admitted for five days. He is back home now, but the doctors are contemplating a knee surgery to get him back on his feet.

Randeep’s friend told Bombay Times, “Yes, he fell off a horse a few days ago and was hospitalized. He broke his knee. He wanted to keep this low-key, but someone leaked the news about his injury after he was discharged. He cannot walk yet and is in pain. The doctors are still contemplating surgery, and for the time being, he is wearing knee braces.”

Known for his method acting and extreme transformations, something he did for Sarbjit (2016) in the past, the actor recently lost around 20 kilos in seven months for his upcoming directorial debut Swatantra Veer Savarkar, where he plays the title role.

A source says, “He went on a crash diet to look the part. They have completed a schedule, and there’s more to go. The overall drastic weight loss led to loss of muscle, and hence, the knee injury was harsher on him.”

Last February, the actor underwent a knee surgery, and this time around, he has injured his other knee.
