Pathaan New Poster: Nobody Has Shah Rukh Khan's Level Of Swag
Box Office India Trade Network

PATHAAN put up another 50 crore nett plus day on Saturday and there are no words to describe the box office of the film as collections are just unprecedented. The Saturday number may be around 10% lower than the first day but it does not tell the complete story as the lower collections are a lot to with the some of the South Indian circuits and West Bengal being a lot lower than day one due to the huge performance on first day.

The core Hindi markets like Gujarat/Saurashtra, Rajasthan, CI and East Punjab are actually similar or even higher than the first day. This assures of a huge Sunday and strong numbers for the long run as its these markets which hold up better when a film works and PATHAAN has worked in an extraordinary way.

The four day numbers of the film are over 211 crore nett in Hindi and there will be around 7 crore nett plus from dubbed versions in South India and the dubbed versions are slowly doing well due to insane craze of the film in Hindi though it will be Monday that will tell if the regional versions will sustain. PATHAAN is the highest nett grosser of Shahh Rukh Khan, outgrossing CHENNAI EXPRESS in just 4 days.

The fifth day is off to an crazy start with noon shows at single screens across the country recording House Full signs. It will no doubt be the best day in single screens and due to this some of the mass centres could even go higher than the Thursday national holiday on Sunday though that is unlikely happen in the bigger centres and metros as business slows on Sunday evening and night. All in all, it is a phenomenal weekend for the team PATHAAN and the HINDI film industry.

The four day collections of PATHAAN  (Hindi) are as follows.
Wednesday - 55,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 68,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 37,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 51,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL 2,11,50,00,000 apprx

PATHAAN crossed the $20 million mark in just four days in overseas as it continues to create havoc across all the markets. Gulf, which has been the underperforming circuit post pandemic, has gone bonkers and is setting records which are unbelievable and it will become the highest grossing film in the market in no time. There is advantage of Saudi Arabia now and being a Shah Rukh Khan starrer it was expected to score huge here but the numbers are far higher than anyone could have expected.

The business on Saturday in overseas was the highest the film had recorded since with release with around $6.5 million coming and US/Canada expected to be around the $3 million mark which is HISTORIC as most films don't reach this number in their entire runs. North America, Gulf, UK, Australia or smaller sectors like New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, South Africa are all extraordinary. There is no Pakistan and only god knows how much it could have added there. It would have been no surprise if it went on to be highest grossing film in that country looking at numbers of the Muslim dominated countries in the rest of overseas.

The worldwide numbers of the film look to be in the 420-425 crore range for the Hindi version in just four days and the weekend should be anywhere between 525-550 crore. The way that the mass markets in India have opened on Sunday morning, it could be towards the highest end of the range though overseas will see a drop.

The film may well beat the worldwide numbers of DANGAL (Hindi) of around 700 crore within its extended week and DANGAL (Hindi) is the highest grosser worldwide of all time in original format. It has hardly rained at the box office for the film industry for the past two years and with PATHAAN the rain, gale, hurricane, tsunami has all come together.

PATHAAN is lighting up the box office in circuits which were considered DEAD. The film opened in United Kingdom to a huge response on Wednesday and was doing unbelievable business but what happened on Saturday just leaves you gobsmacked as the film collected £550k and this could edge up as final numbers get updated.

This is a market driven by loyalty cards and is down in the dumps as films fail to match the business that was happening 15 years ago. This Saturday number of PATHAAN can only be put into perspective with lifetime business of other films. KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) was £539k, BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 was £420k, SOORYAVANSHI was £584k and the biggest of the lot BRAHMASTRA was £1038k which will be around 3 days collections of PATHAAN.

The numbers coming of United Kingdom are such that only man give and that is Shah Rukh Khan, of course with good film but no other actor can even dream of such numbers in United Kingdom. The Saturday number is simply a WTF number and there are probably more ridiculously high numbers to come.

The apprx numbers from United Kingdom are as follows and again its HISTORY in the making.
Wednesday - £330,000
Thursday - £240,000
Thursday - £350,000
Friday - £550,000
TOTAL - £1,470,000 (this number will get higher as no doubt some cinemas will be missing from the numbers available yet)
