PATHAAN created more history on its second day when it beat its own record for the highest day ever which it set on the first day (55 cr) as it picked up an insane 68 crore nett approx in Hindi on day two and with the dubbed versions, the total is likely to be above 70 crore nett. These numbers are simply unthinkable and more so because of what happened in 2022. The market is there and was there even before with lower ticket rates but the market being there and actually doing are two different things.

The two day business of the film is an insane 123 crore nett which is already the third highest weekend of all time after KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION (Hindi) and today it will easily surpass those films and create more history.

The collections coming in for the second day suggest the highest numbers in all circuits except maybe East Punjab and CI. CI is a few lakh short of KGF - CHAPTER 2 day one while the final number from East Punjab is yet to come and that can be a few lakh short also. Elsewhere it is HISTORY and from Delhi/UP to Bihar to West Bengal to Mumbai.

The Delhi/UP number for the film will be the type that was unthinkable and unheard of as stardom, canvas and content come together and this combination has always been lethal in this circuit be it 50's, 80's or present time.

The collections in the South were flat after an extraordinary day one but East India after a phenomenal first day sees gains as this side of the country goes to another level. The crucial areas for the film were Gujarat, CP, CI and Rajasthan and these circuits have gone up 40-50%. There were protests in Madhya Pradesh on day one hitting business. This was also prevalent in other parts and Madhya Pradesh was worst hit but on day two there were less issues as the insane success of the film shut mouths  After GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI, BRAHMASTRA and now PATHAAN, it again shows how the box office just kills all negativity. 

The holiday period is over and the film will see a drop on Friday which could be even 50% or more which is the trend on a weekday post the big holiday but it will again regain momentum over the weekend for a humungous extended five day weekend.

The two day collections of PATHAAN (Hindi) are as follows.

Wednesday - 55,00,00,000 apprx

Thursday - 68,00,00,000 apprx

PATHAAN also continued its record breaking march in overseas as the second day will witness collections around $3.50-$3.75 million after a huge $4.5 million apprx on the first day. This means the two day numbers for the film will be around $8 million depending on where final collections fall.

There were drops in most markets which was expected after the first day but the business will jump again on Friday as the weekend starts. Crucially, there does not look a drop in Gulf which is a market which has kept overseas lower post pandemic but with PATHAAN that will change as even Gulf is on course for record numbers.

This will mean the second day worldwide will be around 112 crore for PATHAAN (Hindi) adding to the 103 crore on the first day taking it to an insane 215 crore Worldwide GROSS for the Hindi version in just two days. And you can add another 5-6 crore for the regional versions which will make it over 220 crore.

The Friday and Saturday numbers will be huge in overseas if Gulf stays at this level or improves as markets like US/Canada and UK will be going mad on Friday and Saturday. The overseas market has been waiting for a good film from Shah Rukh Khan for years and this is what happens when it comes along. Its complete havoc.
