DRISHYAM 2 had a historic seventh weekend which will be among the top two in history as URI had done business of 4.05 crore nett in the same weekend. It remains to be seen where DRISHYAM 2 settles - will it be a little higher than 4 crore nett or a little lower.

Irrespective of whether it is higher or lower than URI, the collections are simply remarkable and the film is on course to beat its sixth week numbers. The business of the film is now 228 crore nett and it should beat the BRAHMASTRA's numbers by the end of the week and head towards the 235 crore nett mark.

The film could even challenge the seventh week record of URI as it is possible that today could play out like a partial holiday and it is tomorrow that everything is back to normal as all offices open up post the holiday period. All said and done, its been an extraordinary run for the film and shows that numbers can still come without the large cinematic experience but there has to appeal for the Hindi circuits as relying on the 5-6 metros cannot take you far.

DRISHYAM 2 continued to collect well as it collected 50-55 lakhs nett on its seventh Monday which means it is heading for an insane seventh week number of around 5.75-6 crore nett. This is pretty much the same as last week and the second best ever after URI.

The only other film to collect more than 1 crore nett in week seven is RRR (Hindi) and here DRISHYAM 2 is heading towards 6 crore nett which shows how well the film has sustained. The business of the film is now almost 229 crore nett and by the end of the week it will be over 230 crore nett.

The collections in Mumbai circuit are an extraordinary 92 crore nett while BRAHMASTRA and BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 did 70 crore and 55 crore respectively and Delhi /UP is 43 crore nett for DRISHYAM 2. Here the film will remain less than BRAHMASTRA and BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2.

DRISHYAM 2 recorded extraordinary collections in week seven of 5.75-6 crore nett which takes the total collections of the film to 230 crore nett. The film will not be stopping as collections today on the eighth Friday are also very good.

The seventh week was only behind URI which had collected 6.67 crore nett but in week eight the film will have a chance of beating the week eight of the Vicky Kaushal-starrer depending on where the collections land today.. 

DRISHYAM 2 has simply seen a phenomenal run since release and is now looking to cross the 235 crore nett mark. In Mumbai circuit it will beat the numbers of RRR (Hindi) and that is an achievement in itself as RRR (Hindi) is higher than some og the 300 crore nett original Hindi films in Mumbai.

DRISHYAM 2 was again excellent on its eighth Friday with collections in the 35-40 lakh nett mark which means another solid week for the film which will be among the top eighth week collections of all time. The film is standing at 230 crore nett plus now.

It remains to be seen if the film can have another 1 crore nett day and if it comes it will be on Sunday. The film has also scored very well in overseas with a $7 million apprx total which is fourth best of 2022 for original Hindi content. 

The worldwide collections of DRISHYAM should finish at around 340 crore plus which will be a little short of the 358 crore for TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR.

DRISHYAM 2 again recorded huge numbers considering the film is now running in week eight. The film had collections up there with all time great films like GADAR - EK PREM KATHA and DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE, and its doing it in todays time when runs are much shorter.

The failure of CIRKUS has really benefitted DRISHYAM 2 and given it another lease of life and probably added around 5 crore nett plsu to the lifetime business. The eight weekend saw around 2 crore nett come in taking its lifetime total to 232 crore nett.

Mumbai circuit now stands at 93 crore nett but since week seven the collections have Delhi/UP are now much closer to Mumbai on a daily basis. Even East Punjab is recording excellent collections now.
