Sheezan breaks down during questioning; denies cheating claims

Tunisha’s co-actors, crew, studio officials and people present at the studio where she was found dead are also being questioned by the police, say reports

Tunisha Sharma’s Ali Baba Dastaan-e-Kabul co-actor Sheezan Khan – who has been arrested for allegedly abetting her suicide – reportedly told investigators his relationship with Tunisha lasted for three months.

A Vasai police official told a news agency on Monday, “Sheezan told the police he and Sharma were in a relationship which lasted for three months as they found it was not working out. Sheezan told us there was an age gap between the two as he was 27 years old and Tunisha was 21 years old.”

Tunisha reportedly died by suicide on the set of her TV show, Ali Baba Dastaan-e-Kabul, on December 24. Following her death, her mother Vanita Sharma lodged a complaint against Sheezan, and he was arrested for abetment of suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. Sheezan was produced before the Vasai Court and sent to four-day police custody.

A team from a Forensic Science Laboratory in Mumbai also visited the set of the TV show where Tunisha was found dead and seized various materials including a crepe bandage, which she allegedly used to hang herself, and Sheezan’s mobile phone and clothes, which he wore on the day of the incident, a police official said.

Meanwhile, Tunisha’s last rites were performed yesterday at Mira Road.
