CIRKUS had a horrible first week of 29.25 crore nett as collections came down over the weekdays after a dull weekend. Despite it being a holiday period, it hardly helped this film due to the rejection. There is another huge drop on day eight though evenings maybe better. If the film fails to get 1 crore nett up on the board today then it will not even reach the 40 crore nett mark.
It will be satellite, digital and music which will save the film from unimaginable losses. The film will cover its costs from revenue from all sources which will be around 155-160 crores but the film is produced by the director and will not cover the director fee which can be pegged in the range of 30-40 crore.
Still with such disastrous box office results, this is again getting away with it in terms of finances due to non theatrical revenues and this has been the story post pandemic. The budgets have been huge for post pandemic releases and the collections have been minimal barring a few exceptions but despite this it is only DHAAKAD and '83 with over 50 crore losses and these losses could have bough down with better digital deals.
The worldwide theatrical share of CIRKUS may close at less than 25 crore while revenue from digital, satellite and music is 135 crore.
The first week collections of CIRKUS are as follows.
Friday - 6,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 29,25,00,000 apprx
