CIRKUS recorded a first weekend which was pretty much the same as the first day of SIMMBA which released in 2018 and was a Rohit Shetty directed film with Ranveer Singh. Just the zone was different as that was an action film while this was a comedy.

The collections were around 20.75 crore nett for the weekend and the growth on Sunday was very moderate considering how low collections were already. It was pretty much a normal jump on Sunday when it should have got a bigger boost than a normal Sunday as it was a national holiday and more so because of the low numbers. A jump of 40-50% would have been nothing out of the ordinary but the film could not go even that far.

The film has been beaten by AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER in all Hindi circuits over the weekend despite it being the second weekend of that film. On Friday a few of the mass circuits were actually higher for CIRKUS but it could not keep pace as AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER showed much better growth over the weekend even in these mass circuits.
