KANTARA (Hindi) continued to trend well on Monday as collections jumped 50% on Monday compared to the Friday. This takes the film to 9 crore nett business over the first four days and it should finish the week at 13-14 crore nett as weekdays should hold at Monday levels.

The jumps were best in South as some places, the Hindi versions did not release on Friday. So compared to Friday, the growth was multifold in South.

The target for the film should be to beat the numbers of KARTHIKEYA 2 which gave a similar performance to KANTARA as it trended well on lower numbers. The difference being that film had a weak release which gradually improved while here the film got a good release on day one. The business is lopsided towards Mumbai and South and it is these markets which will drive the film especially from the second week.

The Kannada version in Hindi markets has beaten the numbers of KGF - CHAPTER 2 at the same time as it crossed the 1.50 crore nett mark
