KANTARA is holding up well at the box office in the second week comfortably, going ahead of the competition DOCTOR G in the second week. The film has collected 18.50 crore nett so far which is not much of a total looking at the bigger picture but for Kannada dubbed film, these are good numbers.
The film could go above the 30 crore nett mark depending on what happens in the Diwali period which would make the film a solid success. The film has good appreciation in Maharashtra where all the cities except Mumbai city collected better than DOCTOR G and that includes Thane and Pune.
The film has collected around 7.50 crore nett in Mumbai circuit so far and even South which has a minimal release in Hindi has done 2 crore nett. Odisha is also strong with around 75 lakhs nett. Delhi/UP is around 2.50 crore nett as the regional content keeps the business low here. Maharashtra is less affected on Diwali day by Puja. So this film could hold on to good collections on Diwali day which is traditionally not good for collections.
The collections of KANTARA till date are as follows.
Week One - 14,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 4,25,00,000 apprx (2days)
TOTAL - 18,50,00,000 apprx
