GODFATHER (Hindi) which had a guest role by Salman Khan had dull collections of 2 crore nett. The trailer of the film had a very Telugu feel which limits its appeal hugely in Hindi circuits. Surprisingly, it was the North circuits which fared better with even East Punjab having a 11% contribution when normally for a typical South film, it is around 6%. This is probably due to Dusshera or Salman Khan factor. For a South film, 2 crore nett is actually not bad but this film had face value for the Hindi audience be it in a guest role.

The film could also not make its mark in South also as it collected around 17.50 crore nett in Nizam/Andhra which is the local market for the film and it will be downhill from here. The main lead of the film is Chiranjeevi who is the biggest star ever in Telugu but obviously not the same force of old as this films comes on the back of another debacle, ACHARYA. There were limited collections in rest of South also as the all India collections of the film were around 23.50 crore nett.
