After being married for around 18 years, actor Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth announced their separation in January this year. However, the latest reports state that the two have decided to put their divorce on hold and try to make things work. 

An official statement from the estranged couple is awaited, but a report circulating online states that a meeting was held at Aishwaryaa’s father, actor-politician Rajnikanth’s house, wherein it was decided that the two would try to sort out their marital issues and will be making a positive decision, respecting their elders’ decision. 

Announcing their decision to part ways, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had released a statement that said: “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other... Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.” 

They have two sons, Linga and Yatra, and were recently seen together at Linga’s school event. The picture of the two did rounds on the internet.
