Brahmastra Review: Ranbir Kapoor Anchors The Action In Ambitious And Entertaining Fantasy
Box Office India Trade Network

BRAHMASTRA has recorded a fantastic opening day all over as it collected 31 crore nett in its Hindi version and 4.50 crore nett apprx in languages which is a record for Hindi films as the Telugu version of the film actually did well. The all India total is 36-36.50 crore nett. The collections are extraordinary in the multiplexes of metros while they are very good to good in other places.

The Mumbai circuit has seen good collections on day one for an outright Hindi film since the release of SOORYAVANSHI way back in November 2021 as the circuit hits 10 crore nett and that is with Gujarat being at the good level rather than excellent. The contribution was huge from Mumbai/Thane and Pune driven by the 3D multiplexes and a partial holiday.

South India fared very well as it crossed the 10 crore nett mark with Nizam/Andhra hitting the 6.50 crore nett mark in Hindi and Telugu. The Telugu version of the film was around 3.75 crore nett. The other places to do very good business was Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Chandigarh.

The rest of the country was generally good as collections in places like CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan and Bihar were comparatively less but still these circuits recorded good numbers competing with films like RRR and SOORYAVANSHI which were types which held more appeal in these parts. These areas will have potential to jump on Sunday.

The number is huge for a film without branding/franchise value and although this is not taken that seriously yet, it will change in the long run as films which are established franchises will generally be breaking the records making them bigger than the biggest stars.

The film has also scored huge numbers in overseas as the opening day numbers will probably be over $3 million including the paid previews.
