Dobaaraa rests on a great plot, which will keep viewers gripped. Anurag Kashyap has executed it in a very simple manner and hence, the narrative never gets confusing. A few scenes are even funny and give the film a nice touch. However, the thrill element takes a backseat after a point though the trailer promised that the film will be a thrilling ride. The film ideally should have ended on a high which doesn’t happen. Also, a few developments are bewildering. Speaking of performances, Taapsee Pannu, as always, is dependable and a delight to watch on screen. Pavail Gulati looks dashing and puts his best foot forward. Rahul Bhat doesn’t have much to do initially but later on raises laughs and is fine. Saswata Chatterjee is let down by the script. Sukant Goel (Abhishek) leaves a mark and so does Aarrian Sawant (Anay). All in all, Dobaaraa works due to the novel idea and is worth watching once.
