Comedian Amit Tandon is all set to turn storyteller, for he is busy writing a web series. For this, he’s chosen to explore Delhi’s real estate market and the scams associated with it. The yet-untitled show will delve into the impact of these scams, but on a light-hearted note.

“The storyline is based in Delhi. Since it’s my home, I’m well versed in local stories… I’d be adding my personal observations, too. I have always entertained people with jokes and will do so through the show as well, with a hint of drama to suit the nuances of digital storytelling,” he tells us.

While the script will incorporate his experiences, Tandon says he has not fallen prey to a scam himself. “But I have seen it happen around me,” he’s quick to add.

At the moment, the stand-up artiste is meeting several real estate developers and dealers in the Capital for the story, which will also feature real-life instances. But, he’s being extra cautious while adapting these first-hand accounts for the screen. “We will not be using real names. I’m meeting a lot of people to get the stories right. I want to be right in terms of legality, as well. I don’t want to say anything in thin air and instead, back it up with logic,” says the 43-year-old.

Once the script is in place, Tandon will pitch it to major OTT players. “I’m yet to speak to anyone about it. I am first putting together the concept on paper, and then I will start going around [to streaming giants]. I am confident that people will be interested in it,” he wraps up.
