Actor Ali Fazal has forged a special bond with his Mirzapur co-stars Pankaj Tripathi and Rasika Dugal, and he is now interested in watching them push themselves past their comfort zones. How? By seeing Tripathi be more picky with his projects and Dugal turning on her rage mode.

“I’d like to pick Rasika’s brains and know how it works and exchange notes with her because I know a lot of it works just like mine. And as for Pankaj ji, I’d like to take a look at the list of the 365 films that he is part of in a year, and go ahead and slash out 100 (of them). Make him more choosy,” Fazal shares.

The 35-year-old goes on, “I don’t want to act like him because then I’ll become a clone. But I’d love to be a part of more projects with him. When it comes to Rasika, I wouldn’t change a thing, but maybe one day, as an experiment, I’d like to see her get really angry.”

At the moment, the Death On The Nile actor is busy juggling his commitments in India and on foreign shores, but he has reunited with Dugal and Tripathi for the third season of their popular web series. Ask him if he has learnt anything from his co-stars that he applies to his craft, and Fazal asserts that he hasn’t, and that is deliberate.

“That’s the only way we could have pulled off that show with raw emotions and a lot of heart. However, what I’ve learnt from the gang is to be able to sit with each other and calm one another’s nerves,” says Fazal, who is shooting in Mumbai now, which will be followed by a schedule in Delhi.

He adds, “It’s truly an adventure to work alongside such brilliant actors. Since last year, we haven’t had much of an opportunity to spend time with each other. So, that’s what makes this reunion more fun.”
