Actor Akshay Kumar has received a ‘Samman Patra’ from the Income Tax Department. He has again been named as the highest taxpayer from the Hindi film industry.

According to Pinkvilla, he got the felicitation from the Income Tax Department on Sunday. The report stated that since the actor is shooting his next project outside India, the ‘Samman Patra’ was received by his team on his behalf.

“He has the maximum number of films today, as well as ruling the endorsement world. It’s no surprise for him to feature in the highest taxpayers list of India,” the portal quoted a source as saying.

Meanwhile, rumours are rife that actor Samantha has signed her next Hindi film. And for it, she will collaborate with Kumar. The film is touted to be a mythological epic drama, and is expected to be backed by producer Karan Johar. However, official information on the project is still awaited.
