Neetu Kapoor's Jug Jugg Jeeyo Poster Gets A Shout Out From Daughter-In-Law Alia Bhatt
Box Office India Trade Network

JUGJUGG JEEYO had a decent first weekend of around 35 crore nett which is a little short of GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI but that film came in February when the box office market was just getting started. The numbers compare well with the 39 crore nett of SAMRAT PRITHVIRAJ as that was a huge film.

The film has done very well in Delhi/NCR and good business in other parts of the country mainly Mumbai city and the metros of the South while it is lackluster elsewhere. There were jumps on Saturday and Sunday in the lower performing markets but that was always likely from the low starting points.

The business in NCR was big bright spot as it collected almost as much as BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 over the weekend with Saturday being on par and BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is the best performer of 2022 of original Hindi content.

The weekend trajectory suggests the film can have some sort of decent hold on Monday. Its unlikely to be a 20-30% type of drop from Monday as the ratio of business from multiplexes which drop rates on Monday is very high. So a 15-20% drop is a given even with same admits as Friday. But hopefully its on the right side of 50% which will give it a chance to have decent run for a few weeks and get somewhere.

The weekend business of the film is as follows.
Friday - 8,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 35,00,00,000 apprx
------------------------------
JUGJUGG JEEYO had a fair hold on Monday with a drop on the right side of 50%. This is coming off a fair first weekend which means the film is doing okay business but it cant be called good as for that either the weekend had to be better or the Monday hold had to be better. The collections on Monday are in the 4.50 crore nett range.

There are places which have held better like East Punjab, CI and Rajasthan which are looking at a drop in the 40-45% range. The places are coming off low Friday numbers. It looked like Gujarat would also hold well but it did not quite maintain the pace in the evening and dropped in that 50% range.

The four day collections of the film are 39.50 crore nett and the week should be around 51 crore nett. It has been seen with Hollywood films which do better in the bigger centres that they continue to do well on Saturday and Sunday and this is after bigger Monday drops than JUGJUGG JEEYO. It could be with this film also that Saturday and Sunday do well for the next 2-3 weeks as its mainly for the metros. A strong hold hold on one of the days before the second week starts can really help its cause.

The first four day collections of the film are as follows.
Friday - 8,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 39,50,00,000 apprx
