If you are a social media buff, it’s likely that you’ve seen at least one ‘Chhoti bachhi ho kya?’ reel or meme. The dialogue from actor Tiger Shroff’s 2014 debut film, Heropanti, has been trending after it was used in the official Hindi dubbed version of Stranger Things Season 4.
Fans were quick to spot it when one of the lead characters said it in the series. In fact, even Shroff realised that the phrase would connect with the audience and hence used it during a promotional event for Heropanti 2.
YouTuber Yashraj Mukhate, known for taking dialogues and turning them into songs, made a video on the dialogue, too.
Talking about it, Sanjeev Dutta, the dialogue writer for Heropanti, says, “It feels good [that the dialogue is going viral]. The best part is that the line says something good, it doesn’t have a negative connotation. Chhoti bachhi ho kya is basically a reprimand and asks you to be mature. It feels good that a dialogue with the right intention is going viral.”
